This is now the third time entrepreneur Doe Deer of Lime Crime Cosmetics [link] and I have collaborated! I love working with someone who has such a clear vision of the fantasy she wants to bring to life! I was visiting Lime Crime headquarters, having my hair died mermaid colors by Cassie Wanda Marshall (who does the amazing hair styling on Lime Crime Shoots), when Doe told me of all her fantasies about the October pallet she had planned . She was sharing her visions of a witchy environment with candles and a spell book, dark and gloomy but with a twist of her sweet Lime Crime aesthetic. Of course I had to offer my help!
Later, she sent me sketches of a cute Alchemist girl with a velvet green short dress, then we ventured to the fabric district to find the perfect fabric and notions. Songstress and model Lola Blanc [link] came for a fitting, and shortly thereafter they had the shoot! I absolutely love the set they made, I wanted to take it all home with me! On top of having a beautiful photoshoot, director Raiya Corsiglia [link] shot a music video with Lola singing a cover of “Love Potion #9″! [link]
