Follow Firefly Path costuming & make-up on Facebook - www.facebook.com/FireflyPathThis gown is one of those dream gowns I've always wanted to create! I love the way the art has flowing airy layers of fabric falling from an empire waist gown. We put our own Firefly Path twist of this design by lowering the waistline and giving it more structure with a boned under bust corset. I really wanted this to look more like a bridal gown than a cosplay costume. In order to achieve that look we used white and silver crystals along the neckline and the bottom of the corset.
Fluffy rosettes wrap around the arm. The knife pleated organza gives the large bow in the back the shape of wings. Of course, to keep it in the moon theme a tiny crescent moon rests in the center of the bow.
The skirt is three layers of crinkle taffeta and pleated chiffon. Each layer is hemmed at different lengths with horsehair braid to give that wavy effect.
