When considering fabrics for zelda i had it in my mind to make it less cartoony and more realistic & period. The dress had to be off white. I was considering wedding satin but that doesn't have a "Saxon" look to it, so I settled on a thick linen. I really wanted to keep all the fabrics looking natural. The over shirt is made of dupioni silk. Zelda is a princess so naturally she would be able for afford rich fabric for her gowns. Its fun to me to find elements that are true to the character, it brings them to life! This photo was part of a fun photoshoot with Doug Durham were pikminlink and i could play out their parts ^_~ To see the rest of the photos from the shoot go here -> [link]

that zelda costume is great. i really like the changes youve made to it, but i still like seeing her classic elements like that blue hyrule thing in front. aaaaand the atmosphere of the shot is amazing.

There is such detail in your Zelda cosplay, it does actually look more like an authentic period garment than something out of a game. You look gorgeous in that outfit, and the photo is excellent!
